Overview
W wie Wissen is a long-standing science program on Germany’s public broadcaster ARD. The goal was to update the on-air branding to reflect the show’s modern, investigative tone while staying accessible to a wide audience.
Concept
The redesign focuses on clarity and visual curiosity, mixing clean typography with vivid motion graphics to signal insight and discovery. A modular system allows for flexible use across titles, transitions, and explainer segments.
Execution
As Art Director, I led the design direction on the agency side. This included overseeing video shooting, logo creation, styleframes, typography, and animation logic.
Impact
The new branding refreshed the program’s identity while keeping its recognizability. It strengthened W wie Wissen’s position as a reliable, contemporary science show for a broad audience on Das Erste.
